Window Shopper – Spring Obsessions in the City

The calendar Winter is finally over, and together with the weather, that gradually starts to recover from freezing cold, people are changing their outfits. Throw away your winter coat and uggs! You will not need it till the next season, unless you are going to the North Pole, of course.  It’s time to put on something more suitable to the current temperature and the overall mood of the city.

Following the quests for the best window decoration in the threshold of Christmas, which appeared to be quite popular, I am presenting to your attention a wonderful selection of the most gorgeous and impressive front windows designs in Spring. This time let’s get rid of the TOPs and comparisons and just try to enjoy the power of human imagination.

Bright colours (blue, yellow, pink, orange and green) and thin fabrics have conquered Mayfair. The accent in March is definitely put on the fashion of our offSprings, as already two of the fashion stores (Liberty and Ralph Lauren) have exhibited their best collections to the front. While Liberty is following a more classical approach, Ralph Lauren has chosen to show children as strong and capable as adults. Liberty, in its turn, cannot get rid of the famous dynamic skeleton in one of its rear windows. But, I must confess it looks quite cute.

Time flies fast. Don’t forget to shop while you are still young and beautiful. Apparently, that’s an implication that lies behind the windows of Oasis and Banana Republic. After a not-so-careful inspection, one can notice a massive clock on their stores. Did they have an agreement?

Topshop is as always quite inventive, trying to please it’s customers by unusual settings. Have you ever thought why there is TOPMAN and not TOPWOMAN?

All in all, even if you are not planning to spend your honest earnings this Spring, it makes perfect sense just to pass by the streets of Mayfair and observe these splendid creations. This is definitely worth a separate tour. And, as always, this topic is open for public discussion. Don’t hesitate to share your opinion about the famous brands, and/or share your experience and recommendations. Have you got a better shop in mind? I am all ears! (;

On the pictures: TOPSHOP, TOPMAN, Miu Miu, ZARA, Liberty, Ralph Lauren, MANGO, Banana Republic, Holland&Holland, MK Fashion, The Box, Oasis, River Island, Matthew Williamson, Rossini, Smythson, Stella McCartney, Tory Burch, Uniqlo, H&M, Diane Von Furstenberg, Juicy Couture, Kenzo.
